YSL inspiration

Items from Yves Saint Laurent's personal collection at his home in Paris. YSL wanted his longtime partner to sell all of his items once he was gone. Note his signature glasses, the Y's made out of tree branches, and his cute little notebook with his name "Yves" scripted on the front. So inspirational!

This tableware is created by Tina Tsang, from Undergrowth Design. The aim of her design is to enthrall the user and give a sense of worldliness to everyday life. Her objects are also inspired by her background in film and illustration.

Throughout the month of December, I'm going to try and post some christmas gift ideas for the hard to buy person in your life. I got the idea from the new york times website. These monogrammed recipe cards and box are perfect. They come from dabney lee at home. Link at right. 

favourite apartment

I cannot stress how much I love Domino Magazine. I have kept every single issue since the premiere issue in 2005, in top condition. Carolina Herrera Jr.'s apartment was in that issue. I always told myself I wouldn't single out a single article in the magazine, because every single one is equally as perfect. However, in this case, I haven't found an apartment as great as hers. The combination of textures, colours, patterns, and her eclectic sense of style is so inspiring.

This James Merrel photograph is eye catching. Exam time is upon us and I am supposed to be studying. Distractions are all around me! Including Flickr, The Selby and numerous other blogs that keep me from doing my work!!

"Milk" en francais

I stumbled upon this magazine through www.milkmagazine.net. Even if you don't speak french, it's still nice to look at the cute pictures. I only need to find one in my town of Montreal. The magazine resembles Domino to me! I love finding new magazines with interiors that inspire me. I like how they're not cookie cutter images throughout.
