I love the design and style of the clothes and the styling of the pictures. So perfect!

my first set at polyvore

If I had an unlimited budget, this is what I'd buy!!

the television

If you're going to make the television a centre piece in your living room, you might as well dress it up!

my dream bathroom

Sorry, I can't remember where I found it!

le locataire

Tonight we watched The Tenant (le locataire) by Roman Polanski. It features Isabelle Adjani. She emits the style of the '70's so perfectly, and she's naturally beautiful.

fresh and subtle

I sprits Jo Malone White Jasmine and Mint Cologne only once, on the back of my neck. It's a fresh, subtle scent that I never get sick of. I think that's important in a perfume. It has lasted me a long time and I look forward to it being my signature scent for years to come. What's your signature scent?
I just wanted to apologize for my erratic posting during the last few weeks. I've been working on studying for my exams, and starting a vintage shop on etsy. It will be up and running in a couple of days I hope. I worked on a banner and had to take a bunch of pictures for the images on etsy. My camera is very horrible and never does what I want it to do, so it takes double as long! So, that's where I've been. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon and everyone will enjoy looking at the really cool vintage stuff I have to offer! The photos above are of my grandmother when she was young, and my sister and cousin when they were young as well. I've always been inspired by the love of antiques by my grandmother Ruth, and the purple glass is what I inherited from her when she passed. Those type of sentimental things are always nice to have.

parallel worlds

Another article in the new issue of Lula intrigued me. The artist is a young woman named Donna Huddleston. You can check out her other paintings here

"through her eyes"

This is another one of those ideas that I wish I had though of first. Over at Layers of Meaning, the purpose of  her "through her eyes" series is to peak into the personal lives of her favourite bloggers. Last week was what's in your purse, and this week it's about handwriting. Very, very cool to read.

every girl's fantasy

I came across this abandoned farmhouse turned life-size dollhouse in the new issue of Lula Magazine. Do you ever come across interesting artistic interpretations and wish you came up with them first? Well this one is definitely one of them for me.

...and don't forget

...for your guests.

happy good friday!

If anyone is having a dinner party for the Easter Long Weekend, I suggest making an Arugula Salad with Lemon Parmesan dressing. It's perfect for a spring weekend. Check out the recipe here.

cozy and perfectly cluttered

This apartment belongs to floral designer Nicolette Owen. I spotted it over at Design Sponge. This apartment reminds me so much of my own! It's like someone went into my brain and splatted it all over this apartment! I'm in love with little nick nacks, antiques, fresh flowers, airy colours..and you can tell she does too. It's so cute. I just love it. What a great find.

nature and romance

I really like the idea of a self taught designer like Kate Towers

display case

I found this vintage display case from an antique market. It can be laid flat on a bureau or hung up the way I did it. It was perfect the way it was; distressed light turquoise with black velvet and a few antique pegs already there. It's a great place to keep my few very favourite peices.

dress shop

Magical ruffles and bright colours for Spring and Summer, from Sunday Brunch. Ahh! I can't wait for beautiful sunny days!

hidden treasures

The anticipation for flea markets, bazaars and antique fairs are growing, as the weather is getting warmer! I can't wait to go treasure hunting!

retro chic

Retro style sunglasses by featured designer Zooey Deschanel for Oliver Peoples. I love her style, but I think they could have come up with something a little more original. In another sense, it is a classic style, considering the glasses are over $400.00, you would have them for quite a while.

the witches house

I took these photos a while ago, in the Eastern Townships, close to our cottage. It's known as the "witches house". Note the witch on the broom stick at the top of the peak!

Built By Wendy is a clothing and accessories collection by Wendy Mullin. She makes books of sewing and pattern making that are very easy to follow...and if you don't know much about sewing to begin with, it's a great tool to learn from!

Wendy also sells patterns individually, for a good price!

And..she also has two boutiques in New York and has an online shop of the clothes she sells already made..such beautiful creations!!
